Ten trainee solicitors from the Law Society have successfully climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain.
The trainees, who were climbing to support Ballymun Community Law Centre, have now raised more than €17,000, surpassing their initial target of €10,000.
Founded in 2002, Ballymun Community Law Centre provides free legal services to individuals and families facing unmet legal needs.
Describing it as a “fantastic achievement”, the centre said that the funds would go a long way in helping to promote access to justice.
“We are immensely grateful for their dedication, determination, and hard work,” the law centre added.
This year’s group of climbers were reviving an initiative first launched by Blackhall trainees in 2024.
